Alex is a graduate of Columbia College with a degree in Biology. He learned to sail with Nantucket Community Sailing (NCS), starting when he was nine years old. For many summers, he has also been an instructor at NCS, teaching kids how to sail, including his little brother. Aside from sailing, Alex enjoys studying marine life, fishing, building LEGOs, and playing squash. He also loves conducting scientific research and worked on developing new vaccine-delivery methods at Columbia University’s Cornish Lab.
