Chase is a Junior in the engineering school studying Chemical Engineering and Entrepreneurship and will be continuing as Co-President of Columbia Sailing for the coming year! Originally from Kent Island, MD, Chase began sailing in Annapolis during middle school and has been racing ever since. Prior to Columbia, he was a varsity sailor on the Severn School sailing team in Severna Park, MD, raced in the C420 Triple Crown circuit, and competed in the i420 North American circuit. Since coming to Columbia, Chase has competed for the team as both a skipper and crew on the race team. Chase is looking forward to a great year working with our new board and can’t wait to get back on the water this spring! Off the water, Chase enjoys cooking, working on classic cars, and doing scientific research. If he’s not working on a project, you can be sure to find him spending time with his family, friends, and his dog Kuma.
