Conditions: 5-15 knots, no waves, lots of current!!
The women had a strong performance at the Tiger Women’s Open on Saturday! Elizabeth Frost (‘27) and Nadia Fisch (‘28) started in A fleet taking home two bullets! The current was strong pushing upstream while the wind came downstream from the north with big puffs and shifts. Princeton did a good job of trying to keep the course square while shifts on the downwind were forcing autogybes and the current caused boats to stand still at times. Eva Decastro (‘28) and Amelia Thomas (‘27) went out in B fleet and got another two bullets, finishing almost a leg ahead of the rest of the fleet! The team secured another four bullets in the second set, totaling to 8 points in 8 races!
Throughout the day, the current slowed and by the third set and switched directions. The wind shifted to the east 90 degrees and the course was changed many times to keep up with the conditions. Stella Manyan (‘27) swapped in to crew in A fleet for sets 3 and 4, bringing home strong finishes and securing first place in A fleet! Wren Greeley (‘28) swapped in to crew for B fleet in the last set and also got two more bullets! Eva picket fenced her fleet finishing in first!
